My Pc might explode if i try and play elden ring with my i7 6700k even with it OC to 4.4 which it does easilu them four cores aint finna cut it
Upgrading to a ryzen 5 5600x soon
wish i could upgrade gpu too
what don't you like?
went mage and regret cause it's piss easy and out of 15 or so spells so far, there's 3 that aren't suffering carian greatsword spell houses from mount
taking my time, enjoying it so far. gonna try out some of the later spells then respec into faith/dex if they keep being trash
I haven't played a Souls game since the first one, never really liked how it feels like playing an old PS1 game with tank controls
never got into sekiro, isn't is basically just time parry(ies) before this exact thing?
ya it does feel like elden ring in particular exposes the souls formula. sit, roll/block, then sit waiting for a heavy attack animation that you hope goes through or jump in and get 2-3 quick hits (with bleed chunking the fuck out of them)
think it's the more fantasy setting, and not being tutorial'd to death but i'm finding the pace enjoyable. don't usually spend this much time scoping scenery or lore. that said my 50-2 kdr reflexes are long gone, so i get the newb friendly criticisms of it
ya p much sums mage up. replace pretty spell with another pretty spell and there's only one so far that does fuck all damage, and it staggers the shit out of things too. the giants can be stunlocked from really early.
every big fight can be ezcheezed by popping a summon and reload till you don't get aggro. otherwise, you're either stuck throwing a literal pebble for slivers or just running away until you're out of hit range during their windup because you can't get a decent spell out in between attacks
how long are your loads? mine are 2-3 seconds at most.
gonna keep boomering through it, enjoying it as a retard open mouthing at pretty mystery boxes.
Sekiro is amazing. I hesitated to play it for a while but it went on sale on PC a few months back and I got completely addicted to it for weeks.
To me I feel like its the most fair of all the Souls games. Sometimes bosses in Souls games just feel like they have an advantage on you and dont play by the same rules as you. Where in Sekiro you can parry and deflect almost everything with good enough timing. In Sekiro bosses can melt you but you can melt bosses. Sekiro just feels like it rewards your mastery of the games mechanics way more than souls games do.
>Be renowned for games with tight level design and engaging combat
>Make 90% of the game an empty field where you can avoid or cheese enemies
What were they thinking???
>>5893>on sale>buying games
Sorry I only play games that predate the ps3 so not happening
I'm surprised someone hasn't started producing new CRTs at this point, imagine the hipsterbux
if you aren't mass producing those things it would never work way too expensive and not enough demand to mass produce
>>5894>Make 90% of the game an empty field where you can avoid or cheese enemies
>What were they thinking???
It's immersive game design anon
is there anything to this game? isn't it just another MMORPG grift???
I'd say the closest comparison is Dragon's Dogma. The major dungeons and bosses are great, the world is well crafted and looks amazing, but it's still an open world game which means there is an unfortunate amount of filler
No. I'm convinced it's online appeal is 90% carried by people liking the main girl.>>5961
Dragon's dogma combat is also dogshit but you can at least move around and it's got some neat novelties
>>5963>I'm convinced it's online appeal is 90% carried by people liking the main girl.
lmao what? It's popular because it's a FromSoft game and not much else has come out this year
Not what I said>It's popular because it's a FromSoft game and not much else has come out this year
That doesn't change the opinion of DS autists on imageboards though. BB and sekiro (which worked on PC unlike any other kingsfield) both got hated and a lot less attention from random imageboard users even though they were lightyears better games than souls.
ive never seen that much hate for sekiro
>>5967>BB and sekiro (which worked on PC unlike any other kingsfield) both got hated and a lot less attention from random imageboard users even though they were lightyears better games than souls.
Bloodborne and Sekiro are so universally beloved on imageboards that they are a constant target of bait threads for guaranteed responses, you're confusing that with actual hate
I think I'd feel guilty, like I'm cheating if I were to grind souls.
But I also feel tempted. Am I just shooting myself in the foot if I don't?
Is it autism to not do it?
Why the FUCK would you ever have to grind souls
All the cheeseable overworld bosses in caelid put you to like level 66 which is more than enough to use whatever loadout and basically oneshot every boss
What difference does def stat make in a game where you never get hit
Just go explore more, the world is massive so no need to grind. Also:>Make sure your weapon is upgraded>Make sure your flasks are upgraded>Make sure you haven't fucked your build up
>Make sure your weapon is upgraded
Don't do this if it's a generic.
It's a fucking nightmare to get regular low level stones (they're random drops from low level enemies who you never fight I guess) and you'll never upgrade a non-somber weapon past +2
the bells are ez, and let u buy unlimited stones up to 4 without beating a boss
mostly agree on non-somber, the special weapon arts are too good
but if you want to use a diff weap art (hoarfrost cheese) than you have to
It kinda feels like playing Dark Souls 3.5. Apart from a jump button and a horsey, it doesn't feel like they changed a lot of stuff
But the bosses and general enemies need to have their damage hits nerfed. Too many 1 hit kills for anyone who plays it
got busy, put it down for a couple days and can't play for shit now
put me in the home spros, it's over>>6079
level vigor buddy
>>6107>level vigor buddy
Like that does anything against Malenia's anime attack when you were too close to her lol (because why not remind melee fags again how useless melee builds are)
