>>984yeah I forgot to mention morrowind
even on xbox it was pretty fuckin great
mechanically it's not too bad but it's a pretty dense game it'd be hard to appreciate now with a real life, it's really hard to get immersed in games for me anymore
No.988
>>987>megaman i could never get into it, i happen to think megaman personally just looks raelly gay
just look at this faggot
No.990
>>982I've tried pirating it in the past but could never find a version that worked properly with LAN
No.991
>>984>that level of jank is difficult for me to accept/get intoI actually played Morrowind for the first time around 2017 or something and loved it. It feels janky at first but you'll get used to it pretty quickly. And even if not you can get mods to make it play more like Oblivion/Skyrim if you really need to.
No.993
>>991ya i mean, ive never had problems playing older games in terms of like graphics and immersion, but some gameplay has aged pretty terribly
i feel like W2 handles fuck awful, for example
No.995
>>988I used to think something similar about the original megaman series, i always tought he looked rather femenine and youthful for being a Man so i never really played it myself, then came megaman x which turned the little faggot boy into a somewhat manler Man that slides to go fast and climbs buildings exclusively with his legs.
then came zero and i decided there and then that he was the epitome of manly despite looking like a girl No.996
>>993I don't think it's a matter of ageing, even at the time Morrowind was kinda janky due to being a somewhat strange fusion between CRPG and more modern 3D RPGs. But even with the initial clunkiness you can eventually progress to the point where you're running around at sanic speed and firing spells capable of destroying entire cities, and imo it actually feels smoother and easier to play than Bethesda's newer games at that point. If you ever feel like trying it again, my tips to avoid most of the jank is to make a character starting with at least 1 weapon skill at 50 to avoid missing all the time, and rush to get the boots of blinding speed to solve the problem with the slow as fuck walking speed.

>>996i remember being a kid at my friends place and his older brother would play morrowind
shit was fucking incredible seeming to me then
still is now to an extent tbh No.1007
>>998It still feels that way to me, it's very rare for games to allow for the amount of freedom that Morrowind does
No.1008
>>1007well fuck man
you're kinda makin me want to try and pick it up a litle
No.1009
>>1008If you ever do here's some essential shit to get the game working:
>https://openmw.org/en/Basically a source port for the game, so you no longer have to play it in Bethesda's shitty engine. Plus all of the bug fixes already included.
>https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/14891A mod to fix a small oversight with one of the DLCs.
That's about it really, this game doesn't require 6 gorillion mods to be fun like it usually is with Bethesda games
No.1011
>>1009might be good to also mention the combat overhaul mod, that way you wont have to get through 30 misses to hit on a scrib at lvl 1

>>1008>>1007he's absolutely right, there's almost always multiple ways to solve an problem using magic, or speech or brute force, whatever.
there were a lot of dumb things broken in the original release of morrowind, pickpocketing straight up did not actually tie into your security skill so no matter what you did pickpocketing was always a super low chance.
there's some really busted shit you can do with magic, alchemy in particular that I would recommend not doing on an early playthrough.
No.1014
>>1011That's up to personal preference really. Like I said, if you start with a weapon skill at 50 the missing thing isn't much of a problem imo.
