idgi hasnt saints row always been a lelsowacky series?
No.4028
SR1 & SR2 were the only decent ones, despite being GTA clones. SR3 began to get wacky and SR4 completely jumped the shark. So can't expect much from a new one.

That's the current majority with money and sway nowadays. The first picture you posted has people clothed in a style from almost a decade ago. Who's that going to appeal to?
You gotta understand that most games and art are products of their time. They'll always be showing what's in, and not what's out.

>The first picture you posted has people clothed in a style from almost a decade ago. Who's that going to appeal to? That's not the problem. Obviously they would have to update the look and feel to match modern gang culture. But what they came up with doesn't look like any gang that has ever existed anywhere in any time period

>>40731) THQ is just a holding company, they don't tell Deep Silver what to make
2) Deep Silver are not the problem since they are also publish stuff like KCD
3) Free Radical is making TimeSplitters, not Volition
Basically, Volition is shit (everyone knew that), everything else is fine

At least Mafia tried it, but its controls for console were total dogshit.

>>4381>corporateI hear a lot of people saying this but it doesn't make much sense.
Deep Silver publishes lots of gritty and serious games like Metro and Iron Harvest, including the very controversial Kingdom Come. Meanwhile Volition has created nothing but wacky lolsorandom garbage for the past decade and openly donates money to organizations like ActBlue. But I'm meant to believe that Deep Silver is the one dictating the direction of this new reboot. Does not add up and just sounds like people trying to shift blame from Volition

>>4386So in some way THQ is the modern LJN?
No.4394
>>4390Not sure how you got that from my post lol. Licensed games aren't just farmed out to literally whos any more, it's big money. THQ and similar size companies get the scraps (mostly Warhammer and World of Darkness). Which is honestly fine because I'd rather they just make original games
