These pics are some of my last posts from before the board got wiped. I'll post some pics in the morning too, the tomatos and cucumber grew quite a bit in the last few days im really surprised about how much the cuc grew
>pics 1 & 2
Pulled my garlic and hung it to dry. I'll use the bigger bulbs to replant in the winter garden this year.
>pic 3
Dill seed drying out. Once they dry completely ill plant 10 seeds to get an idea of the germination rate which might not be accurate anyways its fucking triple digits here and probably won't not be until the end of october
>pics 4 & 5
Peyote and barrel cacti flowering.

Thanks budy
>do the cactus produce anything that you use?
The San Pedro and Peruvian Torch have a roughly 8% mescaline alkaloid content. I have done extractions before, the Peyote has about 30-35% mescaline content
>you smoke the Peyote?
No I make tea out of it, or dry the buttons and eat them. tbh I don't think smoking it works, I've been wrong before though
>pic 1
Cucumber doing great! It's about 5 times the size of the one from last year. Grew it from seed of a cuc from last year too the more I grow them here the more genetically predisposed the seeds will be to growing in this climate.
>pic 2
My buddys hybrid pepper grown from seed. i didnt get a high germination rate on peppers this year, im pretty bummed about it, no habernero sauce this year, fucking gh3y
>pic 3
Cherry tomatos in the back, brandy wine on the left and right. The one on the left is a first gen, looks like its going to do better over all than the other one. dat genetic shhhhiiiieeeet again
I'll pull the beets and pickle them later this week.

Pickled Beets, onions, and garlic all grown in the garden. Dill was grown in the garden too.

<basic brine recipe:

>2 cups water
>1 1/2 cup white vinegar
>almost a full 1/4 cup salt
>a pinch or two of sugar
Bring this to a boil, then let cool to room temp. Place vegetables and seasoning I used mustard seed, 6 yellow cyanne, sliced jalapeno, and sliced serrano in jar. Once brine I room temp, pour in to top, seal tight and refrigerate for at least 1 week.

i like shredded pickled beets
good on burgers, dawgs, or with some nice bbq'd meats

>shredded pickled beats
that good budy?

>pic 1 and 2
Cucumber getting hella rambunctious, dozens of flowers. It's still too hot for any fruit I guess :/
>pic 3
Pepper getting big too.
>pic 4
All the tomatos doing all right. Once it cools down I'm going to prune them and water.

I found some barrel cacti at work. Allegedly they are endangered where I live, so I swiped a bunch and repotted them as gifts for people, and one as an addition to my garden.

Seeds from my Peyote. You can see at the back right the pink tube on the other one. The one just to the left of the bag had one I hadn't noticed, then a friend of mine pointed it out. So that other pink tube will turn into what's in the bag, post flowering. If it got pollinated, seeds will form in it and I'll have another pod like the one in the bag. I'll try germinating them in the spring.

File: 1693726931460.jpg (3.82 MB, 4160x3120, 4:3, 20230902_191420.jpg)

Pollination occurred, we have another seed pod! I've waited years for this, it's got to be the 3rd or 4th time those pink tubes showed up and the first time seeds were created! =D =D =D

sick, grats

Getting lots of peppers now it's not over 9000 degrees anymore. Maybe the tomatoes will follow suit, they've been pretty much in stasis the past 3 months.

i wanna fly you out when i get set up, jealous of your setup and knowledge
tomatoes and pepps were weird af this year, had sim thing where 'mato went apeshit then 3 dozen stalled on the vine from 2 plants

I have two questions.
1. Do any of you have to deal with rabbits
2. Does anyone here grow medicinal herbs for personal use? I want to grow some and tea leaves but I have zero money

>tom and pep
My tomatos still haven't done anything. I'll probably pull them all this weekend, peppers as I posted have done much better. Probably make some pickles out of the banana peppers this weekend too.
Nahhh mostly cats, snails, caterpillars, an occasional armadillo, and once in a blue moon a feral hog
I don't grow them personally, mainly because I don't have enough room.

no wabbits but a durr somehow left a shit pellet on my ashtray table
just cooking herbs in one of them aerogarden things but thats a gud idea
can just ask around for seeds, hippies will hook you up espec if you flip em a bundle and dirt's free
what do you want to know?
