are there tournaments that have randomized decks? maybe not completely randomized to the point of unusability but random enough that there's no outright advantage?

theres pauper (common only) and peasant (+5 uncommons) formats in m:tg, could use those rules in anything else
the only people i saw play em were generally unpleasant irl though

there's no randomization tho? maybe that's a stupid idea with card games but i was thinking that even the rich guys could be given a handicap if there's like a set number of gud and shitty cards that are randomly drawn from before a match by a referee or whatever and the players have to do the best with whatever they get
maybe that's just impractical idk

not impractical. that's draft without buying packs
>everyone playing opens a pack, takes one card
>passes remaining to next player, repeat until gone
>build deck up to a max/min deck size w/your chosen cards (not all have to be used)
>mana/resources are free after deck construction

could pre-randomize "packs" to open ezpz, just have to fig out how it would work with different game's rulesets
